Made-to-order rölakan flat weave rug designed by Märta Måås-Fjetterström before 1918. Handwoven wool on linen warp according to the artist’s detailed instructions.

The motif is inspired by the traditional Scanian legend dating back to the 12th century. One Bäckahästen rug is in the permanent collection of Nordiska museet.
